Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

BuzzinTV is operated by Range AI, LLC (a Delaware company), the data controller. For privacy questions, contact privacy@buzzintv.com (or hello@buzzintv.com). A business postal address is available on request. This policy covers the BuzzinTV mobile app and the buzzintv.com website (together, the “Services”).

2. Information we collect

Account information. When you sign in with Apple, Google, or X, or via email magic link, we receive your email address and, where provided, your name. You choose a username and may add a display name and profile photo (avatar).

Content you create. The buzzes, replies, and other posts you submit, and your likes, reposts, follows, and watch progress (which shows/episodes you mark watched).

Device & technical data. A push notification token, device and app diagnostic information, and IP address (used by our infrastructure providers to deliver and secure the service).

Usage data. We don't use advertising SDKs and we never sell your data. We use PostHog, a product analytics service, to understand how BuzzinTV is used. Some sessions are recorded as images of what the app displayed; anything you type is masked on your device before it's sent. Analytics runs in the United States, is never used to track you across other companies' apps or websites, can be turned off in Settings, and is deleted with your account.

2a. The buzzintv.com website and waitlist

When you join the waitlist on our website, we collect the email address you provide and basic technical data — your IP address (for rate-limiting and abuse prevention), your browser user-agent, and any referral or campaign tag (e.g., a ?ref= or UTM value) in the link you arrived from — plus, if you choose to share them, the shows and social handle you tell us about. We store these with our database provider (Supabase) to run the beta waitlist and to contact you about the beta; we do not sell or rent this information. If we use an anti-abuse challenge (Cloudflare Turnstile), it may set a cookie and process your IP to distinguish humans from bots; we use no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. 2b. Feedback you send us

What is captured. When you choose to send feedback, the App takes an image of the screen you were on at that moment and attaches it to your message. This happens only on a reviewed list of screens. It never happens on sign-in screens, account screens, or any screen where you are typing, and it never happens on its own: nothing is captured unless you open the feedback form yourself.

You stay in control. The form tells you an image is attached and gives you a control to remove it before you send. Nothing leaves your device unless you tap Send, and feedback can be sent with no image at all.

What else is attached. Your message and the category you pick, plus your app version, build number, device model, operating system version, and the name of the screen you were on (a name such as “show” or “settings”, never a full address containing names or ids). This is the information the disclosure line in the feedback form refers to.

How it is handled. Feedback is stored privately and is readable only by BuzzinTV's founder. We use it only to fix problems and improve the App. It is never used for advertising, never sold, and never shared with third parties beyond the hosting provider listed in section 4.

How long we keep it. An attached image is deleted 90 days after you send it, and sooner if that feedback is deleted or you delete your account. Deleting your account removes your feedback and any attached image with it.

3. How we use your information

To create and operate your account; deliver your personalized feed and notifications; enable social features (buzzes, replies, follows, blocks, reports); maintain safety and moderation; and comply with law.

4. Service providers we share data with

We share data only with providers that process it on our behalf to run the App, under data processing agreements:

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not "share" it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

5. Automated curation and third-party AI

We use a third-party AI provider (xAI) and an embedding provider (OpenAI) on our servers to discover, rank, and curate publicly available content about TV shows. We do not send your personal data — your posts, messages, profile, or identifiers — to these AI providers. BuzzinTV does not currently offer user-facing AI chat or AI-generated summaries; if we introduce such features, we will update this policy and ask for your consent before they process your data.

6. Third-party content shown in the App

BuzzinTV surfaces publicly available posts about TV shows from other platforms, with attribution to the original author and a link to the source. When you view such content, your device may load media directly from the source's own servers (third-party CDNs), which may receive your IP address and device information under their own policies. That content belongs to its respective owners and is subject to those platforms' terms. To request removal, see section 10.

We retain your account data while your account is active and delete it upon account deletion, except limited records we must keep to comply with law or resolve disputes. Feedback screenshots follow the shorter window in section 2b. Cached third-party content is short-lived and expires automatically.

9. Children

BuzzinTV is intended for users 18 and older and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18, and we block account creation by anyone who indicates they are under 13. If you believe a minor has provided us data, contact privacy@buzzintv.com.

10. Removal / takedown requests

To report content you believe infringes your rights or should be removed, email legal@buzzintv.com (or hello@buzzintv.com) with the content's in-app link and the basis for your request. See our Terms for our moderation timeline.

11. Security

We use industry-standard measures (encrypted transport, scoped database access). No method is 100% secure.

12. International users and transfers

We operate from the United States; if you use BuzzinTV from outside the US, your data is processed in the US. For users in the EEA/UK, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and/or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where applicable. We will appoint an EU/UK representative where required by law.

We will post changes here and update the effective date; material changes will be notified in-app.
